Situated in the heart of the Haute-Tarentaise, at 1850 m above sea level, on a "balcony" facing due South, La Rosière is a friendly resort built respecting mountain architectural traditions.
Exposed directly south, La Rosière benefits from forests, mountain pastures and amazing views over the whole valley, with a perfect mix of tradition and modernity.
Linked with La Thuile in Italy, it is the only Savoyard resort to offer an international ski area of 150 km pisted runs: "L'Espace San Bernardo". The savours of the Italian food for a well earned lunch or the magic of heliskiing will help you enjoy the thrills of skiing without borders.
With the label "Famille Plus Montagne" thanks to the numerous facilities and services available to children, La Rosière also offers a large choice of après ski activities and entertaining nights to spend with family.

The skiing area (espace San Bernardo) is huge thanks to the junction between the skiing area of La Rosière and the of italian area of La Thuile. 73 various levels slopes spread between an altitud of 1200 meters and one of 2650 meters and so, are desserved by 37 lifts (Download map of the slopes and lifts). 306 snow canons assure, if need be, the continuous snow cover of the resort. To cross-country skiing enthusiast, 7km of slopes are avaible.
The resort propose an important variety of shops, that forms a complete service.
Feeding : Two grocer's are presents to assure the feeding on the spot. So, there is a "Carrefour Montagne" and two "Sherpa". A baker's and a butcher's/pork butcher's are installed too in the heart of the resort. Furthermore, you could find a lot of others shops proposing many regional products.
Finally, no less than thirteen restaurants are ready to serve you, whether you look for a typical meel or a simple rib steak with chips.
Equipment rental : Nine famous brand (Intersport, Twinner...) are at your disposal all over the resort to rent you some equipment.
Laundery : In the resort, there is two launderettes, but only the Blanchisserie des neiges, situatedin the shopping centre of "Grand Paradis", offers two avantages : the of being the closest of the apartment AND the of renting linen (.
Services : Are presents in the place a chemist's, a doctor, a physiotherapist, a post office...
Others service : You'll find a tabacconist's, a press office, a cinema, a caterer, craftsmen...
